Senior Project Management Officer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Management Officer with a proven track record in delivering renewable projects, preferably in Hydrogen or gases.

This is a critical role for our business, and we need someone who can lead, monitor, and deliver various exciting projects at different stages of development. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of multiple end-to-end projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage green hydrogen and renewable power generation projects independently.
  • Drive project development within the core business by liaising with public and private stakeholders, OEMs, regulators, and other parties as required.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external resources to progress projects through their lifecycles, from concept development to planning and permitting, final investment decision, construction, and commissioning.
  • Deploy our Project Management Methodology (based on industry best practices) to effectively manage schedule, cost, and quality-related risks.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and shared with necessary stakeholders.
  • Report project progress internally and to clients.
  • Support the development of grant applications and other public sector engagement associated with financial support mechanisms.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of hydrogen projects and use cases across the UK and internationally.
Requirements:
  • Multiple years of experience in a project management role, with a proven ability to lead and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience or qualifications in project management methodology such as APM.
  • Experience in delivering complex projects in energy, construction, or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, primarily in wind and solar, hydrogen, and/or fuel cell technologies.
  • Experience of project delivery through the whole development cycle.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Experience in risk and issue management and corporate dispute resolution.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Word.
Education:
  • A strong academic background, with a preference for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as Energy, Engineering, Sustainability, or any other relevant disciplines.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and confident in putting forward ideas and challenging if required. The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum.
