Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Wynne Consulting Ltd. As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical control systems for automated warehouse systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality electrical designs that meet project requirements and relevant technical standards.
  • Produce Eplan drawings suitable for use by the installation and service support teams.
  • Develop Bills of Materials and process documentation suitable for the procurement team to efficiently purchase parts required.
  • Write PLC and HMI code to meet requirements of the system; test the code and install it and commission it at clients' sites.
  • Work with the Project Engineering team to ensure full co-ordination of electrical, control and mechanical part requirements and a complete integrated design solution.
  • Proactively work with Engineering, procurement, project management and installations to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and scope.
  • Investigate and resolve any technical issues that are flagged within electrical design and PLC software systems.
  • Provide first line training / familiarisation to support team members for commissioned systems.

Education & Skills
  • A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering - Preferred Degree, acceptable HND/HNC with suitable relevant design experience.
  • High competence in Electrical Design engineering, including conducting appropriate calculations, generating specifications, producing CAD drawings using EPlan, developing design concepts, resolving technical design issues.
  • Skills in Siemens PLC software writing and testing.
