This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Specialist in Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine with a passion for Paediatric Anaesthesia to join University College Hospitals NHS Trust.

The role provides a permanent position that allows for the development of clinical excellence, training of the highest quality in Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, and world-class research.

As a Specialist, you will contribute to delivering anaesthesia across all specialities and half of the direct clinical care will support the consultant anaesthetist led team anaesthetising children for cancer treatments.

This includes proton beam therapy and radiotherapy in remote areas across UCLH. The post offers a balanced job plan, predominantly Monday to Friday daytime hours, including a half programmed activity covering weekend and bank holidays general and paediatric theatre lists.

We aim to support these posts in accordance with the SAS charter and actively encourage career development. Our department has developed a portfolio pathway and UCLH is supported by a SAS tutor and a SAS advocate.

We are committed to sustainability and pledged to become a carbon net zero health service by 2031 and indirect emissions by 2040. The estimated salary for this role is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
