Company Overview:
Gap Technical Ltd is representing a leading global manufacturing organization in their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Line Manager to deliver a high-quality engineering service, contributing to the achievement of operational objectives.
  • Continuously enhance the performance of personnel and equipment to meet site efficiency and performance benchmarks.
  • Conduct a comprehensive range of maintenance tasks across the entire asset base within the designated area.
  • Quickly identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and basic control & instrumentation issues within your skill set.
  • Complete all assigned work to a high standard, demonstrating the ability to manage all maintenance tasks across the installed asset base.
  • Act as a vital member of the Engineering team, embodying Company Values and showing flexibility to support other teams as needed.
  • Report any non-conformances to Company Policies/Procedures/Standards and assist in corrective action initiatives.
  • Support the achievement of key performance indicators related to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost standards.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the production environment, equipment, and systems.
  • Exhibit a commitment to personal development within the role to attain Excellent Competency Levels.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Completed Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3 City & Guilds / ONC / BTEC.
  • Food Safety Level 2 Certification.
  • HACCP Level 2 Certification.
  • Knowledge of Statutory Legislation.
  • IPAF or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with IEE wiring regulations (current edition).
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to approved Standards / Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Safety and Quality Standards in a workplace setting.
  • Experience in environments adhering to set Standards and key performance indicators.
  • Proficient in data input and analysis.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Desirable Skills:
  • Powered Pallet Truck Licence.
  • MHE Licences.
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certification.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Equipment Groups/Machinery.
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis Assessments.
  • Knowledge of Waste Reduction and Yield Management Strategies.
  • Familiarity with Risk Assessment Processes.
