Gap Technical Ltd is proud to represent a leading global manufacturing organization in their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team near Deeside.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Line Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering services that support operational objectives.
  • Continuously seek improvements in both personnel and equipment performance to enhance site efficiency and meet performance benchmarks.
  • Conduct a comprehensive range of maintenance tasks across the entire asset base within your designated area.
  • Quickly identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and basic control & instrumentation issues within your skill set.
  • Complete all assigned work to a high standard, demonstrating the ability to handle all maintenance responsibilities across the installed asset base.
  • Act as a vital member of the Engineering team, embodying Company Values and demonstrating flexibility to assist other teams or departments as necessary.
  • Report any deviations from Company Policies, Procedures, or Standards and support corrective action initiatives.
  • Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators related to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the production environment, equipment, and systems.
  • Exhibit a commitment to personal development to achieve excellent competency levels.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Completion of a Level 3 City & Guilds / ONC / BTEC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Food Safety Level 2 certification.
  • HACCP Level 2 certification.
  • Knowledge of Statutory Legislation.
  • IPAF or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with IEE wiring regulations (current edition).
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to approved Standards and Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Safety and Quality Standards in the workplace.
  • Experience in environments adhering to set Standards and key performance indicators.
  • Proficient in data input and analysis.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desirable Skills:
  • Powered Pallet Truck Licence.
  • MHE Licences.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and machinery.
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis assessments.
  • Knowledge of Waste Reduction and Yield Management strategies.
  • Familiarity with Risk Assessment processes.
