Aerospace Safety Manager

Our client, a well-established contractor within the Utilities sector, is seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Manager based in the North Hertfordshire / Cambridgeshire area.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the organisation's operations.
- Ensure all safety policies comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and relevant standards.
- Coordinate health and safety program elements addressing site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements.
- Establish a process of active health and safety monitoring through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators.
- Responsible for verifying and accrediting the supply chain, conducting compliance reviews, and providing guidance on general Health & Safety standards.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training programs ensuring all personnel are aware of their health and safety responsibilities.
- Work closely with department managers and supervisors to ensure that health and safety protocols are integrated into daily operations.
Requirements:
- Degree/ qualifications in Health and Safety Management/NEBOSH.
- Updated understanding of health and safety principles with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines.
- Proven years of experience in H&S roles within large scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of updated health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in H&S software & tools.
