Job Summary:

This role is focused on the successful delivery of our education pension service, working closely with the team and head of department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of education pension systems and procedures, including Local Govt. and Teachers' Pension Schemes.
  • Process pension forms and returns for starters, leavers, changes, and other events.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly pension returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise with payroll teams, schools, and pension schemes to resolve pension queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work towards demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of education pension fundamentals, staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required to support the team and achieve business objectives.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and tone to suit different clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a customer-focused approach.
