Procurement Account Manager

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within the Procurement team at Leonardo, a global high-tech company and a leading player in Aerospace, Defence and Security.
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Procurement Account Manager to join our team in Yeovil, at the Home of British Helicopters. As a Procurement Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering promises made by the purchasing team with regards to budget, lead time, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver promises made by the purchasing team with regards to budget, lead time, and quality
- Set up mechanisms to report progress on a monthly basis
- Act as the conduit between buyers, programs, and other functions to ensure buyers get what they need to place orders on time
- Manage new items required by customers, including developing and managing budgets
- Own customer projects from cradle to grave as the Integrated Project Team (IPT) lead for Procurement
- Manage elements of a program, but not as a program manager
- Act on behalf of buyers to ensure they have what they need
- Manipulate information across several software platforms to create reports
- Be the main interface between purchasing and the rest of the company
- Knowledge of the procurement process
- Confident and able to get information required, challenge where appropriate, and maintain good relations working at many levels within the business
- Able to cope independently with high workload in a pressured environment and prioritize effectively
- Keen and able to learn new skills, with support
- Competent user of MS Office applications, including MS Excel, with ability to use Pivots, VLookups, and formulas
- Experience in managing similar activity in an equivalent sector
- Knowledge or experience of the aerospace sector
- Experience working with SAP
