Job Overview

Mental Health Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the mental health of young people, particularly those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist school near Woking.

About the Role

  • Support children with SEMH needs, providing consistency and safety.
  • Identify risks and needs, escalating where necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with students and equip them with tools for success.

Key Requirements

  • A consistent role model and relationship builder.
  • Empathetic and experienced working with SEN children and/or adults.
  • Knowledgeable about mental health, open-minded and resilient.
  • Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counseling suitable for this position.

Salary and Benefits

£85-100 per day, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm, term-time only. Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD ensure student safeguarding.
