Bishopton Vets, a progressive and independently-owned veterinary practice serving the local community for over 80 years, seeks an experienced vet with a strong medical interest to lead our busy internal and expanding external medical referral services.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and skilled veterinarian to join our exceptional team as a Veterinary Medical Lead. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our busy internal and expanding external medical referral services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced vet with a strong medical interest to take on a challenging and rewarding role in a progressive and dynamic veterinary practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead our busy internal and expanding external medical referral services
  • Work collaboratively with our team of 16 FTE vets, including Advanced Practitioners in medicine, surgery, and general practice
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in veterinary medicine or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of leadership and collaboration in a veterinary setting
  • Strong medical knowledge and skills, with expertise in internal medicine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
