Main Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the practice, based on a sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning, and human resource management.
- Drive innovation and modernisation, ensuring the practice remains at the forefront of dental care.
- Meet reporting requirements and comply with local and national KPIs and contracts.
- Coordinate and lead the operational delivery of services, engaging with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Present and analyse data to monitor quality and make informed decisions.
- Attend meetings and effectively manage staff to ensure the practice runs smoothly.
- Develop effective partnerships with other organisations to benefit the practice.
- Take responsibility for security, repairs, insurance, and maintenance of the premises, services, and equipment.
- Ensure the practice complies with all aspects of Health & Safety at Work legislation.
- Manage all income, expenditure, and accounts, preparing financial reports as required.
- Implement and maintain systems under direction from the partners.
- Handle patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure.
- Review and update the practice's information leaflet and website.
- Handle practice publicity and health education materials.
- Be involved in managing the computer system, including organising maintenance and developments.
- Ensure practice compliance with data protection legislation.
- Prepare practice business plans and annual reports as directed.
- CQC experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working as a practice manager is essential.
- Skills to motivate and drive a team forward are crucial.
- Private and NHS practice experience is preferred.
- CQC registered manager status is required.
- Book keeping experience is necessary.
- Social media skills are beneficial.
- The ideal candidate will be reliable, mature, punctual, willing to learn, presentable, and hard working.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Some experience in the medical/dental sector is essential.
- Be passionate about dentistry.
- Some experience of management will be desirable.
- Able to demonstrate an excellent can-do attitude.
- Excellent organisational skills are required.
- A fast learner and team player is essential.
- Treatment coordinator skills and experience are desirable.
