Job Title: Process Improvement Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Improvement Technician to join our Manufacturing division at Renishaw PLC. As a Process Improvement Technician, you will play a key role in delivering technical support to product assembly processes, interfacing with engineers and production staff, and working in a high-precision optical and electro-mechanical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support to product assembly processes
  • Interface with engineers and production staff
  • Work in a high-precision optical and electro-mechanical environment
  • Contribute to and develop areas such as technical support, effective communication, validation, and real-life, time-pressured problem-solving

Requirements:

  • Four GCSE passes (or equivalent BTEC) grades A-C including 2 STEM subjects
  • HNC or NVQ3 level qualification (although relevant experience will also be considered)
  • Accomplished IT skillset
  • Excellent problem-solving and practical skills
  • Good communication and social skills
  • Be an engaged, enthusiastic, and motivated individual

Desirable Requirements:

  • Successful application of structured problem-solving and statistical analysis techniques
  • Awareness of lean manufacturing tools and techniques and an understanding of production metrics
  • Understanding of metrology, measurement techniques, and calibration
