Job Title: Strategic Operations Manager - CEO Support

Salary: Up to 75,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience

Location: Bristol, full-time office-based

Job Description:

The Strategic Operations Manager will provide strategic support to the CEO, acting as their right-hand person in managing and working in tandem with the PA to the CEO. This role requires exemplary time management skills, the ability to anticipate the needs of the CEO, and expert prioritization and decision-making capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to work independently, achieve outcomes from day-to-day responsibilities to complex value-add projects, and delegate tasks to others in the team. Experience in project management, stakeholder management, and people management is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, offering insights, managing priorities, and assisting with day-to-day decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing business presentations, reports, and other materials for meetings and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support strategic projects and business development activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and follow-ups.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably supporting C-level executives.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting at board level, with a strong understanding of board functions.
  • Experience in project management, managing priorities and tasks for a team of business support staff.
  • Experience as a people manager, ideally as a group leader.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A high level of discretion, confidentiality, and loyalty.
  • A proactive approach to support, with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with an understanding of the demands of supporting a busy CEO.
  • Business and commercial acumen.
