We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Senior Finance Strategist to join Cambridge City Council. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and improve financial performance.

As a key member of the finance team, you will work closely with senior leaders to identify areas of improvement and develop plans to address them. You will also be responsible for overseeing the production of the council's annual budgets, ensuring compliance with statutory standards and effective administration of financial affairs.

Key responsibilities include:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in leading financial management services within a local government environment. A competitive salary of up to £68,473 - £76,289 per annum, plus a generous Local Government Pension Scheme, is available for this role. The council also offers a hybrid working policy, allowing employees to work onsite one day per week.
