Highway Technology Specialist

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Highways Technology Engineer to join our Transportation team in the UK. You will be responsible for developing and leading various technology scheme designs from conception through to the completion of Preliminary Design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading feasibility studies, options reports, preliminary designs, and technical queries for technology asset schemes.
  • Managing teams, providing guidance and feedback to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and high-quality output.
  • Providing regular project updates on progress, spend, and risk mitigation.
  • Delivering projects in ITS consultancy, design, and/or project management.
  • Knowledge of ITS, National Highways Technology Assets, Infrastructure, IoT, Telco, IP technologies, and their applications.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering/science-related subject.

Location: Birmingham or Salford - remote working available, with travel to the office. Contract: Permanent Full-time – flexible and part-time hours available if desired. Salary: £39,000 - £47,000 per annum FTE + car allowance + private healthcare + benefits.
