Join our team as a Facilities Operations Manager for a dynamic 12-month fixed-term opportunity, overseeing the northern regions of the UK and Scotland.

At Stonegate Group, the largest pub operator in the UK, we are seeking a dedicated Facilities Operations Manager to ensure our properties are safe, compliant, and fully functional. This crucial position involves managing a diverse portfolio of facilities, ensuring that both proactive and reactive maintenance activities are effectively executed while driving continuous improvements throughout the property lifecycle.

In this role, you will take charge of managing the facilities supply chain within your designated area, particularly during trials and innovative projects aimed at delivering safe and high-quality services. You will ensure adherence to our design and construction standards, as well as compliance with all relevant legislation and Stonegate-specific requirements. Utilizing monitored performance metrics and service levels, you will oversee the facilities supply chain and manage significant business interruption projects, focusing on maintaining safe and legal operations.

Collaborating closely with the Helpdesk, Operations, and Finance teams, you will ensure that repair and maintenance expenditures are accurate and within budget, providing detailed summaries of spending justifications.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced commercial environment, preferably within the Retail, Food and Beverage, or Leisure sectors.
  • Familiarity with complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management or a related field, such as Engineering.
  • Industry recognition through membership or chartership with a relevant professional body (e.g., BIFM, IWFM).
  • Strong commercial insight with a history of achieving commercial benefits through risk-based decision-making in Facilities Management.
  • Exceptional leadership, relationship management, planning, presentation, and influencing capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in incident management related to business interruptions.
  • A solid understanding of the UK regulatory framework concerning building safety and compliance.
  • Ability to balance the conflicting expectations of diverse stakeholder groups over varying timeframes.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and assertiveness.
  • Competence in analyzing and interpreting data efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong IT skills demonstrated through the use of standard software products.
