About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generalist Tutor to join our team at HMP The Mount. As a Generalist Tutor, you will work closely with our management team and other PeoplePlus staff to deliver high-quality education and training programs to prisoners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training programs to small groups of prisoners across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Personal & Social Development, and ESOL.
  • Support prisoners in developing their skills, knowledge, and behaviours, and help them achieve their long-term goals and aspirations.
  • Work with prisoners to develop individual training plans and provide guidance and advice as needed.
  • Ensure that training programs are delivered to the highest standard and that prisoners are engaged and motivated.
Requirements
  • Level 2 Maths and English, or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in delivering training programs, preferably in a prison setting.
  • Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners and deliver qualifications across a variety of subjects.
  • Desirable: teaching or assessing qualification.
