Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, United Kingdom National Grid Full time
About Us
At National Grid, we play a vital role in the UK energy network. Our team is dedicated to developing and maintaining the physical infrastructure necessary for efficient and reliable electricity transmission. This involves monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaboration with stakeholders is crucial for effective asset operation.

The Role
As a graduate on our Asset Management Engineer scheme, you will be working closely with our experienced engineers to maintain and upgrade our assets. You will contribute to big projects that have real-world applications, such as building substations that provide electricity for hundreds of thousands of people. Our goal is to maximize asset availability and performance while minimizing costs and risks.

Your Responsibilities
You will work on-site alongside contractors and colleagues, fault fixing, raising issues, and discussing design flaws. You will also work closely with other more experienced members of staff in teams of five or six. You will produce reports, presentations, and Excel spreadsheets as part of your duties.

Our Graduate Programme
You will join our 18-month graduate programme, which provides a tailored development pathway to support you as you develop leadership, business, and technical skills. You will attend in-person and virtual development sessions throughout your programme. We are committed to the personal development of our colleagues, providing access to coaching and mentorship to help you transition from campus to corporate life. We offer Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) membership and seek support from a National Grid IET mentor to help you secure your chartership.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must demonstrate that they will have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme. A full valid UK driving license is required due to the amount of travel to our site locations. You should be flexible to travel within the role and throughout your rotations as required.

What You'll Get in Return
We offer a graduate starting salary of £34,895, along with a £2,000 bonus once joined and started on the programme. You will receive 26 days' holiday and a £2,400 payment on successful completion of the programme. Additional benefits include pension and share-option schemes, Flexible Benefits, close mentorship and regular feedback & volunteering opportunities.
