Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 5 clinician to join our Clinical Psychiatric Liaison Service. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health practice, with experience of working in a community setting and managing a caseload of clients with a range of mental health problems. You will also have excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services, including assessment, risk planning, and treatment plans for individuals with mental health difficulties and their carers. You will also contribute to the safe and effective day-to-day operations of the service, handling clinical enquiries, and participating in clinical meetings and professional development opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 clinician to develop their skills and knowledge in a specialist area, with the potential to progress to a Band 6 role after a minimum of 12 months. We encourage applicants who have significant experience at Band 5 level and are looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant up-to-date professional mental health qualification (e.g., RMN, OT, or Social Worker) and current registration with no restrictions.
  • Experience of working in a community setting and managing a caseload of clients with a range of mental health problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems.
  • Ability to work 24-hour shift patterns, including nights, in line with service requirements.
