Industrial Placement Opportunity

BAE Systems is offering a unique industrial placement opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Naval Ships team.

This placement will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on a range of naval ships, from offshore patrol vessels to giant aircraft carriers, and gain exposure to the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing sophisticated design processes and testing complex products
  • Assessing equipment behavior and fault diagnosis, evaluating new technologies and components
  • Conducting laboratory tests and capturing data, circuit/firmware simulation and modeling, data analysis, and preparation of technical reports
  • Gaining exposure to the entire project lifecycle, playing a key role in maintaining existing systems and developing new technologies
  • Seeking a stretch project outside of their primary remit to gain different experiences
Requirements

The successful candidate will need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in their Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics and be returning to university to complete their degree.
