Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our team in the Mining sector. As an Investment Banking Associate, you will be responsible for providing Investment Banking services to corporate and private equity clients within the Mining sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the execution of mandated deals
  • Preparing marketing pitchbooks and related materials
  • Gathering public information through various sources
  • Creating financial model analyses
  • Generating discounted cash flow models and other models for valuation metrics
  • Building company forecast models
  • Drafting marketing documents such as Confidential Information Memorandums for financings and/or sell-side assignments
  • Producing and maintaining various databases
  • General research

Requirements:

  • University educated or equivalent
  • Previous M&A advisory experience (Investment Banking / Accountants)
  • Demonstrable Investment Banking transaction experience and a comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic individual
  • Good lateral thinker, imaginative, creative and proactive
  • Ability to source, analyse and apply relevant information
  • Rigorous work ethic
  • Works well under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills (financial modelling)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
