Your primary objective will be to ensure that the debt function has the right high-level KPIs in place to demonstrate whether performance is meeting expectations and aligning with our plans. You will lead on high-level reporting and management information for the debt function, including board-level materials, to provide visibility and insights to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with our finance team to ensure the planning cycle works efficiently across the debt function.

  • Agreeing and producing high-level reporting materials for debt performance, along with executive and board-level reports on debt performance.
  • Partnering with our data science function to agree on modelling requirements for debt and credit risk activity and acting as the sign-off for the credit risk function on outputs.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining an external view of data opportunities to bring innovation into debt performance and customer experience. This will involve owning relationships with external data providers that enhance credit insight, including credit bureaus.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in debt-related financial planning and provision concepts.
  • Able to produce and coordinate high-quality presentation materials that tell the story in complex environments.
  • Experience of collections and credit risk across large-scale customer portfolios.
  • Experience of developing high-level KPI reporting to monitor business performance.

It would be beneficial if you have an understanding of the UK energy and/or utilities markets.
