About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Portfolio Manager to join our team at The Nottingham. As a key member of our Technology and Transformation department, you will be responsible for guiding a talented team in shaping and executing our Technology and Transformation roadmap to align seamlessly with our organisational vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the selection, prioritisation, and scheduling of projects within the portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools, and continuously improve PMO processes and practices.
  • Support the continuous development of our Change Portfolio / PMO processes and drive opportunities to automate existing change management, governance processes and change reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of planners and PMO analysts, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of our pods, projects and programmes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the allocation and utilisation of resources across projects and identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects and programmes.
  • Help lead the team on Agile and SCRUM methodologies and promote the practices throughout the Society.
  • Establish and enforce governance standards for project management within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading a PMO team with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Proficiency in PMO tools and methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Passion for strategic thinking, with experience in business analysis, strategy development, business case development and change management.
  • Portfolio or Programme management certifications (e.g. Prince 2, PMP, Agile, MSPs, P30 or APMP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data sets.
