Deputy Ward Manager

Job Summary
The Deputy Ward Manager will play a key role in the leadership and management of Ward 10, working closely with the Ward Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on a new challenge and develop their leadership skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide visible and effective leadership and management to the ward team
- Develop and implement programmes of care to improve patient outcomes
- Lead by example, promoting a positive and professional attitude among staff
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement
- Contribute to the delivery of the organisation's objectives, working collaboratively with other departments
About the Role
This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience of leadership and management. They will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Person Specification
- Registered Nurse, current NMC registration
- Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent
- Post-registration qualification in speciality
- 1st level degree
- Evidence of management experience, including change management and application of evidence-based practice
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
