Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Commissioning Manager to join our proactive and innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development of all commissioning activities for nuclear glove box test equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the commissioning strategy for the project.
  • Manage all activities in line with company, customer, and project requirements.
  • Be the focal point for the company, customer, and sub-contractor.
  • Ensure all activities are planned, assessed, and managed to identify and control risks or hazards.
  • Organize and obtain sufficient resources to deliver the applicable work scope.
  • Oversee the implementation of work to ensure it meets technical and quality standards.
  • Manage and control sub-contractors where applicable.
  • Review and assess training and competency records of personnel.
  • Provide regular reports and information to demonstrate performance against safety, quality, time, and cost criteria.
  • Carry out regular workplace inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Immediately report any unplanned events or incidents.
Requirements
  • Vocational qualification level 6 or bachelor's degree.
  • Membership of an appropriate engineering institution.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a lead commissioning engineer or commissioning manager in a highly regulated environment.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in a commissioning position working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience in managing a multi-discipline delivery team.
  • Experience of document management and production of commissioning documents.
  • Experience of mechanical completions systems would be preferential.
Working Arrangements

The position will be based at Warrington and initially will be hybrid working. The candidate must be willing to work in Warrington a minimum of 2 days per week and be available for site and supplier ad-hoc visits plus final commissioning on site which would be full-time site-based.
