As a Health Care Support Worker, you will provide basic nursing care and support under the direction of a trained nurse. This will include recording observations, such as pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and urinalysis, and reporting any abnormalities to a registered nurse.

You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate labelling, identification, and safe collection of specimens and blood products.

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment.

Main Duties:

The ward is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Health Care Support Worker to join their team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working within Women's health as this ward is a busy, acute ward caring for patients with Gynaecology conditions.

As part of a team of hard working and dedicated nursing, medical and administration staff, you will be required to work in liaison with the team to ensure the delivery of safe, well organised and effective care, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families who access our service.

We actively encourage staff development through education programmes and in-house training.
