About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Research Operations Team as a Trainee Finance Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and develop skills in financial administration, working closely with our team of professional services staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the financial administration of research grants across the University's Schools and Institutions
  • Ensure that all eligible expenses are recovered from the funder over the course of the award
  • Work closely with the team to provide expert advice and guidance on financial matters
  • Develop skills and knowledge in financial administration, including the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard
Requirements
  • Education to A level standard/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate across a wide range of audiences and mediums
  • Proactive approach to workload management
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite
