Job Summary

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our endoscopy service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Practice autonomously as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to provide a nurse-led endoscopic service in OGD and/or colonoscopy.
  • Work within the multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice in England and act as a clinical expert and professional resource to the multi-professional team, patients, and carers within your specialist service.
  • Liaise and collaborate with colleagues in the delivery of high-quality, clinically effective care, prioritizing and utilizing evidence-based and best practice.
  • Work in partnership with clinical, nursing, and administrative teams to deliver an 80% clinical component to your role and 20% related to leadership and management, education, and research.
About Us

St George's endoscopy has an established history of providing exceptional patient-centered care and is a tertiary referral center for EMR/ESD, ERCP, EUS, and EBUS, as well as bariatrics. We provide bowel cancer screening services to the south west of London in conjunction with the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and basic skills and advanced endoscopy training courses in conjunction with JAG and the National Endoscopy Training Programme.

Person Specification

  • JAG accredited Nurse Endoscopist for OGD and/or colonoscopy and polypectomy (Level 2)
  • Independent non-medical prescriber
  • Post Graduate qualification in specialty
