We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic team in a secondary school located in Swadlincote.

Position:

Humanities Teacher - KS3 and KS4

Location:

Swadlincote

Employment Type:

Full-Time, Long-term - until December 2024 with potential extension.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Humanities Teacher to teach students in Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach one or more of the following subjects - History/ Geography/ RE/ Politics & Citizenship to students in Key Stages 3 & 4.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.
  • Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in department meetings and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Attend parents' evenings and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching Humanities in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Humanities curriculum at Key Stages 3 & 4.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a department.
