Job Title: Reading and Literacy Facilitator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Reading and Literacy Facilitator to join our team at PeoplePlus. As a key member of our Prison Education team, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with neurodiverse and inclusion needs.

About the Role

As a Reading and Literacy Facilitator, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of learners, conducting initial screening activities, and developing Individual Learning Support plans. You will promote an effective and inclusive learning environment, providing support to learners in both classroom and workshop settings, as well as on a one-to-one basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of learners with neurodiverse and inclusion needs
  • Conduct initial screening activities to identify learner needs
  • Develop Individual Learning Support plans to meet learner needs
  • Provide support to learners in classroom and workshop settings
  • Offer one-to-one support to learners as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Minimum level 2 English
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required
  • Experience with phonics approaches
  • Experience working with adult learners and within a secure unit
