Job Summary

We are seeking a Probation Services Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will work with probationers to provide support and services to help them achieve recovery and success.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) services to individuals on state responsible supervision

Collaborate with state and local partners to promote public safety and reduce recidivism

Support probationers through a continuum of services, including counseling, case management, and community outreach

Requirements

Casework counseling experience

Completed Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services 72-hour Peer Recovery Specialist training

Experience reflecting optimism of a probationer's ability to enter recovery and sustain recovery
