Make a Difference in Healthcare

We are seeking a skilled Community Health Specialist to join our team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison in Liverpool. This rotational role will involve covering medication administration, triage, and emergency care alongside public health responsibilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in healthcare to work in a dynamic environment. As a Public Health Care Provider, you will have exposure to various areas of healthcare, including medication management and emergency care.

The role offers a competitive salary of up to £38,115 per annum FTE, depending on experience. You will also receive comprehensive training, including our Introducing Health in Justice course, as well as access to regional and national career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Covering medication administration, triage, and emergency care
  • Providing public health services, including health promotion and education
  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
  • Experience in healthcare, preferably in a prison or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
