About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Care Assistant to join our client's support package in their own home. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our client, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication as required
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide support with mobility and transfers, including the use of hoists
  • Assist with gastrostomy care and PEG feeding
  • Support our client in the community, including accompanying them on outings and activities
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including managing medication and care plans
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in complex care, including dealing with seizures and administering medication
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Commitment to long-term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
  • Willingness to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
  • Reliability, non-judgmental attitude, and a caring and responsible approach
  • Commitment to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect
