Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Oncology Dietitian to join our team at the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Macmillan Dietitian, you will provide specialist oncology dietetic advice and intervention throughout the cancer pathway.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with a nine-month fixed term contract. You will be part of a small and friendly team that includes a range of dietitians from senior to newly qualified, dietetic assistant practitioners, dietetic assistants, and secretarial support.

The successful candidate will have a Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, current Health and Care Professions Council Registration, and a CPD record with evidence of in-service training and reflections of learning.

You will have 12 months' experience as a Band 5 dietitian in a range of clinical areas within the NHS, including enteral feeding, and experience of working in the area of Oncology. Additionally, you should have evidence of acting in a supervisory manner, providing specialist guidance and training to other staff or students.

We are looking for a self-motivated, confident, and team-focused individual who is passionate about oncology. The ideal candidate will be able to convey complex information in an understandable way, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to build good rapport with a wide variety of people.
