About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Engineer - SOE to join our team at 83zero. As a key member of our End User Experience (EUE) department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our diverse range of high-profile clients.

As a Workplace Engineer - SOE, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Standard Operating Environment (SOE) build images for desktop and server platforms. You will also manage and update SOEs using SCCM, analyse and test patches, and evaluate the technical impact of changes to the SOE at an operational level.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain SOE build images for desktop and server platforms.
  • Manage and update SOEs using SCCM.
  • Analyse and test patches to assess their impact.
  • Evaluate the technical impact of changes to the SOE at an operational level.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Expertise in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) 2012/2013.
  • Hands-on experience in Desktop/Server Deployment and/or SCCM.
  • Proven experience in developing and supporting standard OS builds for desktop or server, including Windows 7/8/10/11.
  • Scripting skills (VB, WMI, Command Line) to automate tasks and streamline processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a proactive mindset to meet deadlines and resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: MCSE/MCP in Windows (preferred but not essential).
Additional Knowledge
  • Software deployment and remote support tools.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy.
  • Familiarity with service management tools like Remedy, EARS, or ServiceNow is a plus.
