Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled individual to join our Infrastructure Projects team as a Land Consents Officer. This role would be ideal for someone with a rural background and strong negotiation skills, who is passionate about delivering utility projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring property rights and environmental consents necessary for utility projects, negotiating access and settling agricultural damages, and advising clients on the effect of legal notices on their operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • To acquire land and land rights, environmental and planning consents required for utility projects in rural and urban environments.
  • To value and settle agricultural and other grantor losses associated with utility works.
  • To interpret legal notices and complete options appraisals to inform client business decisions.
  • To liaise between Grantors and Client Project Teams, advising them of the implications of schemes and contributing to successful solutions.
Key Skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in rural estate/land management, agriculture or environmental consent acquisition.
  • Professional accreditation such as MRICS/AssocRICS/FAAV or similar would be desirable although not essential.
  • Experience of utility or infrastructure projects would be desirable.
