Teaching Assistant KS1 Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in the M24 area. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and enhancing the learning experience for children across Year 1 and 2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the class teacher throughout the school day, monitoring and recording pupil's progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Work with children on a small group and 1:1 basis during core and foundation subjects including Maths, English, Phonics and Guided Reading.
  • Uphold the school ethos and implement relevant policies including behaviour.

This is a full-time position, 8.30am-3.30pm, term time only until the end of the academic year. Relevant qualifications are preferred, however not essential. Whether you have prior teaching assistant experience or are a recent graduate looking for experience in the education sector, this may be the perfect role for you.
