We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Contract Manager to join our team at Northern Gas Networks. As a key member of the Commercial Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Contracts Manager and contributing to the successful implementation of contracts within our contract management remit.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensuring all financial aspects and impacts of a contract are clear to all stakeholders and ensuring appropriate contractor relationships are initiated and maintained.
  2. Adhering to NGN's Contract Management Policies/ Procedures and associated governance and risk management, including KPI, rebate, and contract mechanisms to drive effective commercial benefits in line with Commercial Services savings targets.
  3. Maintaining the Supplier Engagement Plan, producing Minutes and Actions reports for scheduled supplier reviews.
  4. Acting as first point of contact for day-to-day contract management enquiries relating to any contract issues including supplier billing, non-compliance, KPI/ SLA failures, providing solutions and advice where appropriate to ensure continuous engagement to meet operational requirements.
  5. Supporting reviewing and updating internal contract management practices and processes in line with company policies and processes, standards, law, and regulations.
  6. Supporting transformational change and business improvements projects for the Commercial Services team and providing training and ongoing support to operations to support FWoW initiatives and changes.
  7. Working with NGN colleagues to identify Contract Management activities, providing MI and trend analysis to identify non-compliance, spend, volume of engagements, and commercial inefficiencies to help realise cost avoidance and commercial efficiency.
  8. Collaborating with NGN's Procurement Team to ensure correct contract hand-off through robust contract management and helping define future procurement strategies.
