We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at a College in Stafford on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out safety checks, servicing, repairing and maintaining all college vehicles, agricultural and horticultural plant and equipment.
The estimated salary for this role is £23,100 - £24,500 per annum, based on the location and industry standards. This position requires the right to work in the UK, previous experience in motor vehicle repairs, and relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 in Motor Vehicle.
About the Role:
- Carry out safety checks on college vehicles and equipment in a timely and effective manner.
- Servicing, repair and maintenance of all college vehicles and equipment.
- Carry out minor fabrication projects as required.
- Prepare and issue tools to staff ready for practical lessons.
- Cover for absent colleagues, as required.
- Assist site teams when required.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience in motor vehicle repairs.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Level 3 in Motor Vehicle.
- Qualifications in use of forklifts, tractors or horticultural machines.
- A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
