Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the production engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and improving business facilities, overseeing projects, and ensuring the application of appropriate engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of production engineers to ensure the effective implementation of engineering projects.
- Oversee the management of business facilities, including the planning and execution of projects to ensure they are completed on time and to budget.
- Assist in providing a safe working environment for staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to minimize delays and improve productivity.
- Utilize PFMEA (Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential failures.
- Ensure the design, trial, manufacture, and commissioning of tools and fixtures.
- Implement and work to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), promoting lean tools and culture.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams and individuals.
- Experience in applying Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean principles in a manufacturing setting.
- Project management experience and proficiency in CAD packages such as Solidworks, SolidEdge, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset.
