Sheet Metal Worker

Our client based in Audenshaw; Manchester is looking to recruit Machine Operator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

The role would suit Machine Operators/Operators who have worked within a metal rolling production environment, Press Break or Roll Rolling Machine.

Duties include:

- Measuring and checking material length and thickness
- Operating press machines
- Understanding of engineering drawings (Radius, dimension, angles etc)
- Movement of small and large items either by hand or with the use of 3 & 10 Tonne overhead gantry crane with pendent control (previous experience would be advantageous but not essential)
- Help secure items ready for delivery
- Maintenance and upkeep of workstation and surrounding areas
- Working as part of a team
- Ensure a high standard of accuracy
- Ensuring products are produced in line with customer specifications.
- Counterbalance Licence preferable.

Working hours:

- Monday to Thursday - 8.00am to 4.30pm
- Friday - 8.00am to 1.00pm (maybe required to stay until 3.00pm depending on business needs)
