Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Special Needs Education Support Professional to join our team at Reeson Education. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a thriving primary school in Waltham Forest.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals passionate about education and supporting children with SEN. You will be responsible for providing one-to-one assistance, facilitating small group learning activities, and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) developed by the SENCO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs
  • Provide 1:1 assistance and help facilitate small group learning activities
  • Assist in implementing IEPs and strategies developed by the SENCO
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment to help pupils thrive
  • Help with classroom organisation and pupil engagement, ensuring every child feels supported
What We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who are patient, caring, and enthusiastic about working with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to work closely with teachers and support staff. Previous experience with children or SEN is an advantage but not essential.
