We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant Physician, you will provide specialist respiratory input for acute respiratory admissions, ensuring the highest quality care and optimum effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist respiratory advice to acutely unwell respiratory patients
  • Facilitate early discharge or prevent admission of respiratory patients where appropriate
  • Ensure respiratory patients benefit from specialist input when managed on an outlying ward
  • Daily ward rounds
  • Participation in the General Internal Medicine responsibilities of the Respiratory Team, including the general medical on call
  • Support of the unit's goal of delivering highly effective care approaches
  • Teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students and junior staff
  • Participate in both department and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit
  • Have responsibility for ensuring active participation in CME throughout
  • Support development and delivery of sub-specialist respiratory services

Details about the role:

  • Speciality: Respiratory
  • Location: Worcestershire
  • Shift patterns: 8:30-17:00 Mon-Fri on-going (part-time hours also available)
  • Hours per week: 20-50 hours available
  • Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
  • Rate of pay per hour: £105-£125 depending on experience

Requirements:

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clinical attachment complete
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
