This position will be focusing primarily on our Energy Systems line of business, which includes telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), utilities, switchgear, security, emergency lighting, and general electronics. Some of the reserve power brands include PowerSafe, DataSafe, and Genesis. Our extensive product range serves a variety of reserve power applications and consistently delivers the most effective, powerful, and reliable batteries available.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for supporting manufacturing by maintaining equipment and carrying out planned preventative maintenance as per schedules. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with Company Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures
  • Completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks
  • Maintenance/repair of equipment in breakdown situations
  • Ensuring the highest levels of housekeeping and cleanliness while working
  • Liaising across all areas of the organization to achieve production priorities

Qualifications

Full-time served apprenticeship

Knowledge and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a strong Mechanical Engineering background, with at least 5 years' experience in a busy manufacturing environment. Experience in hydraulic/pneumatic controls, robots, and electrical systems is an advantage. The candidate should have a basic level of PLC programming and be self-motivated and proactive. Experience in welding, machining, and milling is also an advantage.
