About the Role

We are seeking two experienced professionals to join our Housing Advice team at New Horizon Youth Centre. As a Housing Advice Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering an effective housing advice and advocacy service to young people accessing our day centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Housing Advice Service: Provide high-quality housing advice to young people with multiple needs, including thorough needs assessments, referrals to accommodation and external specialist services, and expert advice and guidance.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies and internal specialists to increase accommodation options for young people.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Monitor and evaluate young people's progress, providing advocacy and referring them to specialist external advice services as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in delivering housing advice within a youth and community or other relevant setting, supporting clients with multiple and complex needs.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with vulnerable young people, and experience with client monitoring systems and other accounting and database systems.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field.
