  • This is a one-year clinical fellowship, focused on conducting projects related to clinical and translational research in lymphoma. The successful candidate will be expected to develop strong links with the ICR laboratories and clinician scientists involved in the GI/lymphoma unit's research projects.

The post holder will be based in the Royal Marsden GI/lymphoma unit, working across both sites of the hospital. As part of the GI/lymphoma clinical research team, they will have considerable peer group support from the existing body of clinical research fellows. There is also considerable infrastructural support available to the successful candidate, including trial coordinator, research data manager, research biological specimen coordinator, and research nurse support.

About the Role

  • The major part of the research team is based in Sutton, where the post holder will have the opportunity to work alongside senior clinical fellows who hold National Training Numbers (NTNs) in Medical Oncology.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cancer patients, including chemotherapy, and will be required to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • They will also be expected to collaborate with clinicians and researchers to develop strong links with the ICR laboratories and contribute to translational research projects.

Requirements

  • Apostgraduate qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • National training number (NTN) in a relevant specialty or equivalent experience
  • Experience of managing cancer patients, including chemotherapy, and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and previous experience of clinical trials management

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £37,068 to £70,425 per annum, pro rata if part-time. The NHS offers a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and access to training and development opportunities.
