Heavy Maintenance Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Maintenance Manager to oversee the successful mobilisation, deployment, and commercial delivery of our heavy maintenance projects. This pivotal role requires strong leadership and management skills to recruit and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and Planners to support projects.

  • Provide regular management information and Key Performance Indicators that report on key project deliverables.
  • Undertake and complete annual Performance Development Reviews with direct reports, in a timely manner.
  • Lead the mobilization for new projects, including development of deliverables such as resource plans, work breakdown structures, tooling requirements, risk register, Bill of Material(s), and Specification Review – all in accordance with company Heavy Maintenance Mobilization procedure.
  • Deliver and maintain excellent standards of housekeeping.
  • Manage customer interfaces including leading Contract Review Meetings.
  • Deliver proactive customer management identifying and developing possible opportunities to maximize revenues and cost savings.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
  • Previous experience, involvement, and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities.
