London, Greater London, United Kingdom Remember My Baby Full time

About Remember My Baby

We are a UK charity dedicated to providing comfort and a tangible memory for parents and families coping with the loss of their baby. Our mission is to offer a gift of baby remembrance photography to parents experiencing loss before, during, or shortly after birth.

Founded in 2014 by parents with lived experience, we are a volunteer-led organization in the charitable sector's great tradition. Our ambition is to have baby remembrance photography offered as a choice to all parents facing loss in every hospital and birth centre across the UK.

About the Role

We are seeking five or six new board members with expertise and backgrounds in accounting, fundraising, charity governance, and midwifery. Additionally, we welcome individuals with lived experience who can bring valuable insights to our team.

As a trustee, you will play a key role in supporting families through loss, shaping the future development of our charity, and working alongside a passionate team of dedicated volunteer photographers.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in bereavement support or working with sensitive topics is valuable but not essential; empathy, dedication, and commitment to our mission are what matter most.
  • You will leverage your specialist areas of expertise and networks to ensure our growth and sustainability, increasing both our reach and impact.

What We Offer

We provide a fulfilling opportunity to work on a sensitive and timely issue, leveraging your skills and experience to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a trustee, you will be part of a dynamic team driven by compassion and a passion for delivering exceptional support to those in need.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, based on industry standards for similar positions in the UK. This figure reflects the responsibility and scope of the role, ensuring that our trustees are compensated fairly for their time and expertise.
