About the Role

This exciting opportunity exists within our NHS Prison Healthcare Service, which provides high-quality care to individuals in custodial settings. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, delivering a medicines administration service to offenders and providing a medicines optimisation service to the prison.

Main Duties
  • Provide a medicines administration service to offenders at designated times as part of a 7-day rota.
  • Undertake medicines reconciliation for prisoners admitted to the prison.
  • Supervise assistants in the dispensary, ensuring high standards of work and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

You will work closely with our prison service pharmacist to ensure the effective delivery of pharmacy services. A strong understanding of mental illness and substance misuse treatment is essential for this role.
