Forensic Psychiatry Consultant Opportunity

At TRC Yorkshire, we are seeking a seasoned Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our Forensic Psychiatry team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing the mental health of our patients, formulating diagnoses, and monitoring risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to assess patient mental health, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
  2. Participate in referral meetings and case reviews to ensure effective care delivery.
  3. Contribute to the development of clinical pathways and treatment approaches.
  4. Provide consultation and support to professionals within our network.
  5. Supervise trainees and specialty doctors within the team.
  6. Participate in the on-call rota to ensure 24/7 patient care.

Requirements:

  1. Full GMC registration.
  2. MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  3. Section 12 approval preferred.
  4. Specialist register preferred (general or forensic).
  5. Approved clinical status.

  4. CPD Support/SPA (2 hours per week).
